What to Expect

Thoughtful, collaborative approach to care

Starting care can feel uncertain.

You may not know exactly what to expect, what to share, or even how to describe what’s been going on - and that’s okay.

The first step is simply beginning the conversation.

The First Visit

The initial appointment is a space to begin understanding what’s been going on, at a pace that allows for depth, not just surface-level information.,

We’ll talk through your current experience, how things have developed over time, and what has or hasn’t felt helpful in the past.

There’s no expectation to have everything figured out. The goal is simply to start making sense of things together.

Ongoing Care

Follow-up visits are a continuation of that process.

We’ll check in on how things are evolving, what’s shifting, and what still feels challenging. Care is adjusted thoughtfully over time, based on your experience - not just a checklist of symptoms.

Appointments are not rushed, and there is space to ask questions and reflect.

Medication as Part of Care

As a psychiatric provider, care may include medication when it feels appropriate.

Medication is never approached as the only solution, but as one possible tool within a broader understanding of your experience.

Decisions are made collaboratively, with attention to how you feel - not just symptom changes

Working Together

Care is not a top-down process.

Your perspective, preferences, and goals are an essential part of determining what feels helpful and what direction to move in.

Rather than being told what to do, we work together to explore what’s no longer working and define what meaningful progress could look like for you

Taking Time to Understand

There are times when things feel unclear, heavy, or difficult to move through.

In those moments, the focus is not on quickly moving past what’s hard, but on understanding it - so that any changes made are thoughtful and sustainable
